Since being friendly is a core part of Filipino culture, it’s very important to know what the Filipino woman who is flirting with you is thinking. Is she just being nice? Or does she really like you? Here’s how to tell:
1. She starts becoming protective of you
This is by far and away one of the clearest signs that a Filipina likes you. If you notice that she starts becoming overly concerned for your health and well-being, it’s a very clear sign that she thinks very highly of you.
Remember: people from the Philippines put family first, and will drop everything going on in their lives to protect and help close family members. When she starts checking in on you to make sure you’re happy and healthy, she likes you. If she brings you food on a regular basis, she likes you. If she brings you gifts, she definitely likes you.

6. She talks about you to her friends
Gossip (with you being the primary subject of said gossip) is a very clear sign that a Filipina is interested in you. And chances are, it won’t take long to find out if it’s actually happening or not. Filipino women like to gossip, and if your circle of friends is close and tight enough, chances are pretty good that rumors of these discussions will come back to you in some shape or form.
I’ll never forget the time when I was still very young and single when I was chatting online with a Filipino girl named Min. She lived in the same city that I did, and we were starting to talk about meeting for ice cream soon. I’ve always been shy and timid, so I wasn’t as eager to do it as she was. The conversation ended without making any definite plans, and I thought that was that. Two days later, a Filipino woman that I worked with at the time took me aside and quietly asked me if I knew a girl named “Min”.
